What Are Vectors? Vector Addition
Graphing and Charting [PDF]
Applet for simple plotting (scroll to the bottom, enter the # of points and fill in the blanks on the generated screen, choose points as the plot type, print the graph and generate a fit using a ruler and calculator.) Some day soon I'll make a PtPlot Applet that will be accessable from this point.
Linear Regression using the TI-83+
Curve Fitting using the TI-83+ The TI-86 is close enough to the 83 that you can use this same site f or this example.
Trigonometry Review Linear Regresion using the TI-89
Curve Fitting using the TI-89
Getting a best fit linear expression.(Click here and enter data into the table to plot the points and creat a best fit to a linear model. With some careful button pushing you can capter the screen to an image you cold paste in your lab.) General Tutorial on Excel Skills including graphing skills.
Visual Calculus This is a fantastic site which allows you to interactively explore mathematical principals. You will need to download and install a special plug-in to make this work. (LiveMath Plug-In / ActiveX) It's worth it. General Calculator Help I'll bet you haven't used half the power of your handheld computer. This is good for any calculator.
Greek Characters and Math Symbols (this is also a good test to see if your browser can display many of the special fonts used on this site.) Graph Shapes A review of important graphical relationships. If you obtain data that looks like one of these curves it gives you a starting point for analysis.
TI-89 hints and tricks. Here are some short tutorials on how to use the TI-89's advanced features to solve some of the trickier problems we do in class.

This is a list of physics self instructional sites for your edification and amusement. There are many different levels and approaches so you should sample them all until you find one you are comforable with.

General Physics Topics

Physlets A set of java demonstrations and simulators for various concepts presented in class and in the textbook. Glen Brook Physics Site, an introductory site used for Regents and Honors level physics. Very good material here.
HyperPhysics, A hypertextual conceptual map of basic physics. An excellent resource for the slightly more advanced student. History of Physics, Eric Weinstien's Treasure Trove of Mathematics has a special section on physics. It is still a work in progress but there is a wealth of information here.
Background Tutorials from the University of Guelph Physics as Entertainment, a very humorous site when all this stuff starts to get you down.
Think Quest's "Learn Physics Today!" a comprehensive online tutorial for introductory physics. PhysicsNet an excellent reference site for the AP students. Lots of worked examples from the Western Washington University
